Insurance help across the Phoenix area, city by city

I'm based in Phoenix and was first licensed as an Arizona insurance agent in 2001. Every city in the Valley has its own mix of risks, from car theft and monsoon flooding to city business licenses. Pick your city below, or just tell me what you're insuring.
The East Valley, city by city
A Gilbert driveway with three cars, a manufactured home in Apache Junction and a brand-new house in Queen Creek don't need the same conversation. Each city guide leads with what the public numbers say about that city. For what the whole region shares, from monsoon wind to fast growth, start with the East Valley overview.

Mesa
- Mesa's general business license dates only to 2022
- Homes built around 1989
- Monsoon gusts over 80 mph

Chandler
- A registration for every location and every entity
- Late-1990s homes and their roofs
- Two cars, low theft, real miles

Gilbert
- More than two cars per household
- Newer homes, still a dwelling-limit question
- Gilbert's flood basins

Tempe
- Break-ins and car theft above the state rates
- Most Tempe households rent
- Tempe's new General Business License

Queen Creek
- Most homes here date from 2010 or later
- A town license that covers home businesses too
- A Queen Creek mailing address isn't always Queen Creek

San Tan Valley
- A brand-new town business license
- Trees through roofs and block walls
- Dust storms in the Northwest Pinal zone

Apache Junction
- Nearly half the homes are manufactured
- Carports, sheds and roofs in monsoon wind
- Washes that run off the Superstitions
The Northeast Valley
Scottsdale and Fountain Hills sit to the northeast, where home values run high and desert washes cross the neighborhoods. Both guides start from the rebuild cost and flood questions that matter most there.

Scottsdale
- Market value is not rebuild cost
- The most flood policies of any city in Maricopa County
- Hail and monsoon wind on Scottsdale roofs

Fountain Hills
- Ashbrook Wash over the road
- High-value homes and the rebuild number
- A town license for every location
The rest of the Phoenix area
Phoenix is my home base, and Glendale sits just to the west. Their guides start from the same public records.

Phoenix
- Car theft runs well above the Arizona rate
- Monsoon flash floods and the flood gap
- No general business license, but a privilege tax license

Glendale, AZ
- Vehicle theft well above the state rate
- Longer commutes, more miles on the policy
- Mid-1980s homes and the city's floodplain program
One Arizona license, wherever you are in the Valley
My license covers Property, Casualty and Life across Arizona, so the coverage itself doesn't change at a city line. The risks do. If you run a company, start with how business insurance works. For the house and the cars, read home and auto coverage, explained, and if your family counts on your paycheck, start with life insurance in plain words.
Not sure where your city fits?
Tell me where you are and what you're insuring, and I'll take it from there. Or just call me.
